Segundo de Chomón, the great pioneer of world cinema hailing from the Spanish region of Aragón was the creator of an infinite number of short-film animations and features under the studio of Georges Méliès and his own production house. His work opened doors for fictional cinema related to the world of illusionism and the circus when it was not yet developed narrative forms connected to fictional cinema with literary and theatrical origin. Chomón created more than three hundred films in all the experimental types, but also of adventures, suspense, historicals, westerns and comedy. The musician Jordi Sabatés has carried out an adaptation of accompaniment pieces that is a fortunate rescue of the work of the Spanish filmmaker. He will play the piano live the music that he has composed for fifteen of Chomón’s movies, expanding and renewing the poetic universe of the filmmaker

El gran pionero del cine mundial y de origen aragonés, Segundo de Chomón, realizó infinidad de cortos de animación y de atracciones dentro del taller de Georges Méliès y en su propia productora. Su obra desarrolla las posibilidades del cine de ficción en los orígenes, relacionado con el mundo del ilusionismo y el circo, cuando todavía no se habían desarrollado sus formas narrativas conectadas con el cine de ficción de origen teatral y literario. Chomón realizó más de trescientas películas en todos los géneros experimentales, pero también de aventuras, de fantasmas, históricas, westerns y escenas cómicas. El músico Jordi Sabatés ha realizado una adaptación de piezas de acompañamiento que supone un afortunado rescate de la obra del cineasta español. Interpreta en directo al piano la música que ha compuesto para quince de sus películas, dilatando y renovando el universo poético del cineasta.

This is not a posture that can be held for long without cracking, and "Family Law" is at its best when noting the hairline fractures that slowly appear in its hero's psyche. The ancient building housing his office is condemned, forcing Ariel into a monthlong sabbatical he decides to keep secret from his wife. The holiday breaks his lockstep, forcing him to confront his feelings about his father, who's acting a little odd himself.

En la búsqueda por definir su identidad, acepta, aunque con cierta aprensión, lo ya heredado, lo inmodificable, lo que él ya es. Pero lo que le cuesta hacer, y mucho, es la otra parte: continuar construyendo su identidad precisamente a partir de lo que se puede cambiar, de aquello que pueda diferenciarlo de su padre, de lo que hay por descubrir.

After his father suffers a stroke, Jorge is forced to take over his job. He has spent the last few years working hard, caring for his father and finishing college, but now he wants to strike out on his own. Through his brother Antonio, he meets Paula, a woman with whom he develops an unusual relationship. Through her, Jorge learns to stop feeling responsible for everything and finally confront his own wishes, ignoring what the world expects of him.

Everything should change for Jorge as a result... but it may not.

Spurred by the suicide attempt of one his former mates, Esteban remembers the experiences he shared with two fellow soldiers: Vargas, the suicide one, and Juan, who died in the war. The stories are a mixed bag: there were the horror, suffering, cold, hunger and mistreatment associated with the conflict, but also stories of friendship and solidarity. From Esteban’s perspectiva, the film examines the gradual immersion of those lives into death. Twenty yers after the war, Esteban decides to go back to the islands to revisit his past and heal old wounds.
